I worked in private and public schools for 19 years.  I graduated from Glassboro (Rowan) University with a degree in elementary education and have a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from William Paterson University, New Jersey.  I taught and directed pre-K programs in NJ public and private schools.  I got married, moved to Charlotte, and taught kindergarten and first grade for 5 years for CMS Schools.  I served on the intervention team for 2 years, aiding teachers and parents of students with special needs and I coordinated and taught literacy workshops for teachers.  I ‘took a short break’ to stay home with my 3 daughters, but found I missed being in the classroom!”, says owner Barrie Moen.
